Interior Project

In 2017, Mrs. Shivranjani Oberoi approached us after purchasing an adjacent 2BHK flat with the intention of combining the two units to create a larger apartment. The goal was to expand the living and kitchen areas while maintaining the existing bedrooms. Mrs. Shivranjani, seeking experienced interior designers in Goregaon, and Mumbai, particularly those with expertise in similar projects and a presence in areas like Andheri, Goregaon, Borivali, Malad, etc., connected with us. In her quest for interior designers, she consulted friends who had recently undergone interior projects. After receiving contact details for several interior companies, Mrs. Shivranjani conducted meetings with each to discuss her requirements, obtain quotes, and after careful consideration, chose the decorMyPlace team for the project.

The project posed challenges, such as the need to demolish three walls, with visible beams, especially in the living and kitchen areas. To address this, a false ceiling design was implemented to conceal the beams and create a cohesive look. A classic theme was chosen for the living, kitchen, and master bedroom, while the two smaller bedrooms were designed with a simple contemporary style. Mirrors were strategically used to add depth to the smaller bedrooms, particularly behind bed backs and side walls. The kitchen featured Hettich quartz surfaces and Hettich tandem boxes systems for the drawers, with a PU lacquer coating for a European styling on the kitchen facia. In the living area, metal with a golden finish was employed for the side table, TV unit, center table, and foyer console. The bedrooms were furnished with cushioned bed-backs using premium matching fabrics.
